Effectiveness of Single and Consortium Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Inoculum on Indigofera zollingeriana Plant Nurseries

چکیده

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are potential biofertilizers for plants. The succeed and quality of AMF inoculation is related to the type This study aimed find most effective species in Indigofera zollingeriana nurseries. experiment was designed using a completely randomized design with six treatments five replications based on different types single consortium forms. Treatment details include: IFMIX (consortium: mixture AMF), IFTE (Glomus etinucatum), IFTM manihotis), IFTA (Acaulospora tuberculata), IFTG (Gigaspora margarita), IFTS Glomus sp. Data were analyzed Analysis Variance (ANOVA) Duncan's Multiple Range Test. Based results variance, at nurseries form (IFTE, IFTM, IFTA, IFTG, IFTS) resulted effectiveness that not significantly FMA (IFMIX) against colonization, plant height, stem diameter, fresh dry biomass Inoculation inoculums higher colonization value (p<0.05) than IFTM. It can be concluded etinucatum, manihotis, Acaulospora tuberculata, Gigaspora margarita, sp.) produced same symbiotic root morphological response production level rate inoculum better

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and Alien Plant Species

The invasion success of alien plant species depends, amongst other things, on their functional traits [4] and the susceptibility of ecosystems. There is now increasing interest in including biotic interactions particularly mutualistic associations [5], into frameworks assessing alien plant invasions, as they help bridge the invisibility and invasiveness features. The great majority of terrestri...

Plant coexistence mediated by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi

Recent research has indicated the importance of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in mediating plant coexistence. Coarse-scale studies compare the effects of the presence versus absence of AMF on plant coexistence, a phenomenon that is most relevant in early successional ecosystems where AMF are patchily distributed. By contrast, fine-scale studies investigate interactions that might occur onc...

On-farm production of inoculum of indigenous arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and assessment of diluents of compost for inoculum production.

On-farm production of arbuscular mycorrhizal [AM] fungus inoculum can be employed to make the benefits of the symbiosis more available to vegetable farmers. Experiments were conducted to modify an existing method for the production of inoculum in temperate climates to make it more readily adoptable by farmers. Perlite, vermiculite, and peat based potting media were tested as diluents of yard cl...

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi alter plant allometry and biomass-density relationships.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Plant biomass-density relationships during self-thinning are determined mainly by allometry. Both allometry and biomass-density relationship have been shown to vary with abiotic conditions, but the effects of biotic interactions have not been investigated. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) can promote plant growth and affect plant form. Here experiments were carried out to ...
